On October 13, 2015 the Greater Philadelphia Chapter of the Employee Assistance Professionals Association (EAPA) installed Brendan J. Young, President/CEO of MHC, as their new President during their monthly meeting held at Key Recovery in Brookhaven, PA.
As President, Young will serve a two year term as the official spokesperson and representative of the Chapter. He is deeply committed to the Employee Assistance Professionals Association, having previously served as Chapter Vice-President, and was also named EAP of the Year in May 2015 for his contributions to the field of Employee Assistance and the betterment of the EAPA Greater Philadelphia Chapter.
Young is passionate about Employee Assistance and helping organizations build healthy workplaces. He is an EAP consultant whose company, MHC, has been providing employee assistance and behavioral health programs to unions and corporations for nearly 35 years.
We are very excited to introduce you to Morghan Terry, who has returned to MHC as the Manager of Clinical Operations and Business Development.
Morghan began her career at MHC in 2005 as a Case Manager, leaving in 2009 to pursue new opportunities. She went on to obtain a graduate degree in Clinical Counseling Psychology from LaSalle University. Prior to rejoining the MHC team, Morghan was working as a clinical supervisor in the Lehigh Valley. She has considerable training in family systems therapy, crisis intervention and in providing trauma-informed care and clinical staff education. In addition to her clinical experience, Morghan has substantial knowledge in managed care, business relations and program marketing. She is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and an active participant in the Pennsylvania Association of Marriage and Family Therapy.
Morghan knows our organization and the clients we serve well and embodies the six core values that are at the heart of what MHC is all about: commitment to excellence, integrity, teamwork, adaptability, positive attitude, and professionalism.

MHC and the Greater Philadelphia EAPA Chapter co-sponsored the “Best Practices in Critical Incident Response” training on Friday, May 8th for local behavioral health providers. Crisis Care Network’s Jeff Gorter, a nationally renowned speaker and expert on modern approaches to crisis response, presented an informative and interactive session about delivering critical incident response services in the workplace.
On Saturday, May 9th, MHC also co-hosted a training with Firefighters IAFF Local 22 designed for first responders to increase awareness about PTSD as well as review the latest research and best practices in critical incident response. The training was presented by both Jeff Gorter and Dennis Carradin, both of Crisis Care Network.
Both trainings were well attended and engaging, and feedback from participants was highly positive.

The award was presented by the EAPA Greater Philadelphia Chapter at its 10th Annual Chapter Awards Breakfast held on April 14th, 2015 at the Livengrin Foundation in Bensalem, PA. The award recognizes outstanding EAP consultants who exhibit the highest standards of professional ethics and demonstrate a commitment to excellence in the provision of EAP services. Young’s company, MHC, has been an EAP consultant to unions and corporations for more than 30 years.
